She is 52 years old and has been in prison for 20 years. She currently suffers from breast cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Lucio Garc\u00eda Blanco<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is 72 years old and has spent several decades in prison. He currently suffers from early senile dementia with adjustment disorder. He also suffers from injuries of the spine as a result of the torture received.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Ba\u00f1os And\u00fajar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is 59 years old and has been in prison for 21 years. She suffers from several serious diseases such as hepatitis C and HIV. In addition, she suffers from severe psychological disorder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is 78 years old and has spent several decades in prison. He has cardiovascular disease and diabetes, difficult to treat in prison because of their age and prison conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The working class has bee fighting against its exploiters and for the defenseof its democratic rights for more than a century. This struggle generates the most<\/strong> cruel and devasta<\/strong>ti<\/strong>ng repress<\/strong>i<\/strong>on against <\/strong>the<\/strong> fighters and their <\/strong>fa<\/strong>mi<\/strong>lies<\/strong> and relatives, infli<\/strong>ct<\/strong>ing on <\/strong>them<\/strong> day after day countless sufferings a<\/strong>n<\/strong>d hardships.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I<\/strong>n <\/strong>the S<\/strong>panish sta<\/strong>te,<\/strong>the <\/strong>fascist regime keeps hundreds of t<\/strong>h<\/strong>ese fighters imp<\/strong>ri<\/strong>son<\/strong>ed<\/strong>, many of t<\/strong>h<\/strong>em sentenced to dozens of years <\/strong>i<\/strong>n terrible cond<\/strong>i<\/strong>tions. Many of t<\/strong>hese<\/strong> po<\/strong>litical<\/strong> pr<\/strong>i<\/strong>soners, due <\/strong>to the<\/strong> harsh co<\/strong>nd<\/strong>itions of imprisonment, <\/strong>the<\/strong> lack of heal<\/strong>th<\/strong> care a<\/strong>n<\/strong>d the long years of accumula<\/strong>ted<\/strong> str<\/strong>u<\/strong>ggle, suffer from <\/strong>seri<\/strong>ous Illnesses. This Is an extremely outragerous s<\/strong>i<\/strong>tuation precisely becau<\/strong>se they<\/strong> are <\/strong>i<\/strong>n t<\/strong>h<\/strong>e hands of t<\/strong>h<\/strong>eir deadly enemies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> movement of s<\/strong>o<\/strong>lidarity with political prisoners has <\/strong>alw<\/strong>ays demanded total amnesty for all of them, regardless of the methods of struggle <\/strong>the<\/strong>y have <\/strong>u<\/strong>sed. However, for the s<\/strong>i<\/strong>ck <\/strong>political <\/strong>pr<\/strong>i<\/strong>soners we must demand <\/strong>i<\/strong>m<\/strong>mediate<\/strong> freedom so <\/strong>that <\/strong>they can re<\/strong>c<\/strong>ei<\/strong>v<\/strong>e proper treatment <\/strong>i<\/strong>n <\/strong>optim<\/strong>al co<\/strong>n<\/strong>di<\/strong>ti<\/strong>ons. For them, it is a matter of life or death.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this situation are t<\/strong>h<\/strong>e communist a<\/strong>nd<\/strong> anti-fascIst <\/strong>political <\/strong>pris<\/strong>on<\/strong>ers: Lu<\/strong>cio<\/strong> Gar<\/strong>c\u00eda<\/strong> Blanco, <\/strong>M\u00f3nica <\/strong>Refox<\/strong>o<\/strong>s P\u00e9rez, <\/strong>M.\u00aa <\/strong>Jos\u00e9 <\/strong>Ba\u00f1<\/strong>os And\u00fajar a<\/strong>nd<\/strong> Manuel P\u00e9rez Ma<\/strong>rt\u00ed<\/strong>nez. <\/strong>All<\/strong> of <\/strong>th<\/strong>em suffer from serious illnesses that are very difficult to treat <\/strong>i<\/strong>n prison conditions in which they f<\/strong>ind themselves.<\/strong> In addition, it should be noted that t<\/strong>h<\/strong>ese are political pri<\/strong>so<\/strong>ners who have been <\/strong>i<\/strong>n prison for more than twenty years with the serious physical deterioration t<\/strong>h<\/strong>at this enta<\/strong>i<\/strong>ls.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On numerous occasions we have seen how the same reglme h<\/strong>as<\/strong> releas<\/strong>ed<\/strong> exploiters, <\/strong>tor<\/strong>turers and <\/strong>co<\/strong>rrupt <\/strong>people <\/strong>fro<\/strong>m<\/strong> prison for ‘humanitarian reasons’. The most recent, t<\/strong>h<\/strong>e fo<\/strong>rm<\/strong>er minister <\/strong>Z<\/strong>a<\/strong>pl<\/strong>ana of t<\/strong>he<\/strong> PP and former A<\/strong>nd<\/strong>aluslan president G<\/strong>ri\u00f1\u00e1n<\/strong>. No m<\/strong>att<\/strong>er what color <\/strong>the<\/strong>y are and <\/strong>the<\/strong> c<\/strong>rim<\/strong>es they have commit<\/strong>ted<\/strong>, th<\/strong>i<\/strong>s fascist regime shows it<\/strong>sel<\/strong>f to be tremendously human<\/strong>i<\/strong>ta<\/strong>ri<\/strong>an <\/strong>with<\/strong>its <\/strong>own, <\/strong>those of its<\/strong>own class; <\/strong>and terribly implacable w<\/strong>ith<\/strong> ours, <\/strong>the <\/strong>revolutionaries of <\/strong>the<\/strong> working class.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These co<\/strong>m<\/strong>mun<\/strong>i<\/strong>s<\/strong>t<\/strong> have spent the<\/strong>ir<\/strong> whole lives defending the rights and liberties of the workers, that <\/strong>i<\/strong>s why they were arre<\/strong>sted<\/strong> and <\/strong>i<\/strong>mprisoned. Moreover, they are an example <\/strong>of <\/strong>firmness and resistan<\/strong>ce<\/strong>, wh<\/strong>i<\/strong>ch is why they are especially sa<\/strong>v<\/strong>aged. Moreover, il<\/strong>l<\/strong>ness <\/strong>i<\/strong>n prison <\/strong>i<\/strong>s one more tool wi<\/strong>th which<\/strong>the <\/strong>fasc<\/strong>i<\/strong>s<\/strong>ts<\/strong>bl<\/strong>a<\/strong>ckmail<\/strong>and <\/strong>subjugate revolutionaries: either you repent or you die.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all <\/strong>th<\/strong>ese reasons, it is <\/strong>ou<\/strong>r duty to denounce <\/strong>the<\/strong> situation suf<\/strong>fered<\/strong> by the sick <\/strong>political pri<\/strong>soners and to redouble our efforts <\/strong>to <\/strong>wrest them from clutches of t<\/strong>h<\/strong>eir executioners. Either we get <\/strong>th<\/strong>em out now or tomorrow it will be <\/strong>t<\/strong>oo la<\/strong>te.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let the cry for the fre<\/strong>ed<\/strong>om of the seriously ill political prisoners be prese<\/strong>nt<\/strong>i<\/strong>n all <\/strong>the<\/strong> workers and popular struggles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
